Busy Sunday + P5P update

As per usual, my Sunday was full of things to do. Laundry, dishes, chasing cats out of places they shouldn't be, researching places John and I might like to move to and a little bit of work. I'd intended to sleep in but of course Mimi decided she wanted a cuddle so rubbed her nose all over my face, then nipped my bottom lip. So it's quarter to 2 in the afternoon now and I've long finished the house work and looked at just about every area of South London and still haven't decided on where we want to move to. Now all that's left is to finish my write up on an event I attended for work called Blog for Sales. Very interesting; gave me lots of insight into how much power bloggers really have...and how much money some of them earn!

One more thing I'd intended to do today was place an order with BeautyBay.com. I won a voucher a while ago and have been saving up some money in my PayPal account to make a big purchase of Mario Badescu skincare and the RMK cleansing oil (still not violating P5P!) but then found out that they don't accept PayPal! My own stupid fault for not checking. I hope that I haven't lost my voucher! I entered it but didn't complete checkout. We'll see. I'll be placing my order on Wednesday or Thursday instead.

Speaking of wins, I very unexpectedly won Sarah's DKNY Be Delicious giveaway! It's my birthday week, perhaps the Gods are sending me luck this year.

Friday and Saturday were both eventful. We headed to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to meet a 12 week old Husky/Lab cross puppy. He was extremely playful and absolutely STUNNING! We then headed out to the depths of the Kent countryside to set off fireworks and start a gigantic bonfire. A women's bike club + fireworks = good times. Always.

Saturday, John's mum brought the puppy home! He settled in really well and plays nicely with a friend's adult Alsatian! Pup really holds his own too! Because of how big he's going to be and his breed history, he's going to be a working dog as well as a pet and will help John's mum down the allotments. For now, we're all concentrating on getting him well trained - he's very intelligent - and getting the cats used to him!

Cream crackered after lots of playtime!

Saturday evening - more fires and fireworks...and lots of food. All the cuttings from where we were preparing the allotments for winter (as well as lots of scrap wood) went on a huge bonfire. John had fun setting off fireworks and actually managed to get a Catherine Wheel to spin properly! TWICE!

Project 5 Pan is coming along nicely. I managed to finish my Revlon ColorStay foundation yesterday meaning there's just the eyeshadow duo and UDPP left! I predict I will finish these by the end of the month meaning I can still snap up lots of Christmas deals and goodies in the January sales!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a safe bonfire night!

Autumn Cleaning & P5P update!

You do a little bit of Autumn cleaning....and you find a forgotten Stila lipstick in a handbag, a Rimmel nail polish under the bed and a load of earrings you'd thought you'd lost so had already thrown away the other half of the pair. Actually, the kitten found most of the earrings...she thought they were new toys. Toys they were not.

Stila Shine Lip Color in Anna

A Project 5 Pan update - I finished my Armani powder foundation a while ago and have just knocked out my Lush lip balm - a sure sign of how parched my lips are at the moment. I'm finding myself applying lip balm every 5 minutes. I have UDPP, the Biotherm eyeshadow duo and my Revlon Colorstay left to go! I've been using the Colorstay everyday since P5P started and because my skin seems to be behaving itself at the moment, I'm using less of it which is slightly annoying. I'm aware of how stupid that sounds.

I'd also like to add that I used up 3 mascaras this week! I decided not to include mascaras in P5P as they're so easy to use up. I finished off my Diorshow, Rimmel The Max Volume Flash and a mini Benefit Bad Gal Lash. Very proud.

Many will know that the amount of UDPP wasted is just...unasseptable (watched Supernanny today) so I'll be posting about how you can get the rest of the product out.

Update on Mimi: She's settling in very well and is super affectionate. Having some trouble with Reggie accepting the fact that he's not the baby anymore but this happened today:

And I consider that a bloody triumph! This is what it must feel like to see your child walk for the first time.

Project 5 Pan

Starting myself on P5P at the request of the boyfriend. Only because he doesn't know about Project 10 Pan! After I pick up my Venemous Villains buys on Tuesday - that's it - no makeup purchases until I finish up 5 products (with the exception of the 2 new Sleek palettes out on the 27th - I've already cleared that with him!) I've also decided not to include skincare and bath products as I go through those quite quickly.

What will I be finishing off?

1. Revlon ColorStay Foundation - I reckon there's about 1/4 of a bottle left.

2. Armani Silk Foundation Powder - Have most definitely hit pan...and then some. It's not cheating - just a little head start! I'll be using this as a bronzer/contour as it was my summer foundation and a little dark for me.

3. Lush None Of Your Beeswax lip balm - About 1/2 left. I lost this and just found it in a bag I last used in the summer! Which is why it melted and has now set funny.

4. UDPP - I think there's about 1/3 left.

5. Biotherm eyeshadow duo - Still lots left. Will have to use this baby every day. Luckily, I love these shadows. Any recommendations for jazzing up a couple of neutral shadows?

I'm also trying to use up the embarassing collection of samples I've managed to hoard for the last few months - inspired by The Bristol Beauty Blog's Sample Sunday posts! Though I've not yet received a reply about donating them to Give and MakeUp. If you haven't heard of these lot yet, do check them out. It's a wonderful cause and a brilliant way for us to give some of the products we don't use to those who need it. As long as they meet hygine requirements (anything - used - with a wand is a no-no, I'd also include all glosses in a tube) you can send them in. If you'd like to help out, head over to their blog and get in touch!

Have you ever done P5P or P10P? Are you planning to? How did it go? I'm scared!
