This is Mistletoe on its own. You can see the glitter (or lack thereof) is unevenly distributed despite blending. I think that as a palette - minus the glitter - it's quite nice in terms of colour and of course pigmentation like all Sleek shadows. However, if I'm rating this as a glitter palette like it intends to be - it's a 2/10.
It doesn't bother me (so much) that the glitter falls off straight away - it's more that some remains when applied and it ends up looking unintentional. Like you've accidentally picked up a little bit of glitter on a brush and used the brush to blend your edges and now you can't get the glitter off without starting your makeup from scratch!
If anyone has any tips on how to make this work, please share!
Oh no i am so disappointed,i love all my other sleek palettes and was really looking forward to buying the new one. xx

such a gorgeous look :) and I didn't even notice the glitter being uneven :)
ReplyDeleteShame about the glitter but i still love this shade, glitter or no! It looks so pretty with your eye colour!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the glitter, this is such a pretty color! :-)
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean. The color would be perfect without the glitter, or if the glitter stayed on the lid.
ReplyDeleteGlitter or no, that shadow looks amazing with your eyecolor! <3
ReplyDeleteI love this palette! I tried to save it as part of my own X-mas pressie collection but had to play with it at least once.
ReplyDeleteI used a glitter eyeliner to accompany the entire look, but to be honest, I found the amount of glitter to be just perfect. It's not a giant holler of glitter-tastic, but more subtle so you have to catch the light for someone to see it.
The color looks beautiful on you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that colour. Too bad about the glitter. Still excited to try it though. Did you use a good primer? That helps, as well as wetting the brush before application.
ReplyDeletealready on my wish list !
ReplyDeletewish i can get it soon.. ;p
